Description: "Beginning at the south corner of Rufus Harrison's land lately Samuel Condict in the middle of the road thence along the line of Rufus Harrison's land north 47deg. 45min. west 26 chains and 68 links (1761ft.) to the land of Josiah Crane thence along his line south 42deg.15min. west 6 chains and 55 links (432ft.) to the land of Nathaniel Dodd deceased, thence along said line south 47deg.45min. east 27 chains and 4 links (1785ft.) to the middle of the road thence along said road north 38deg. east 6 chains and 56 links (433ft.) to beginning corner. Containing 17 acres and 59/100ths."
NOTE: This deed states that Samuel Condit or Condict (as spelled in the deed) originally owned the land then owned by Rufus Harrison. Condit most likely owned most of the land between present day Harrison Ave., and Eagle Rock Ave., from Roseland Ave. west to about Ortland Road.
