THE LAST BUILDING AT PACKERTON YARDS
North end of building as found in 2003. The north end of the building
had been renovated many times over the years since build in 1905.
This is the entrance in the north wall to the small office on the left
of doorway, stairwell-3 to second floor also on left, and the entrance
to first floor on right.
This photo shows the doorway shown in the above photo with the small
office window to the left of the doorway and a large window to its left.
This photo shows the north wall renovations on both the first and
second floors. Notice the window on the second floor was removed to
make an opening to the exterior.
This photo shows the renovations to the north wall where the receiving
area once was located. Note part of the opening to the second floor for
a lifting device at top of photo..
The notch in the brickwork on the right may have been for the lifting device. View is towards the south wall.
