GEISINGER'S "RED MILL" - complete

The above photo is the only existing  view of the exterior of the mill prior to its being dismantled in 1959. This photo, taken with a Polaroid camera by Mr. Frehoffer in late 1958 or early 59, shows that the mill was already deteriorated at that time. The windows had been destroyed or taken out to be used in some other building. Mrs. Virginia Frehoffer who lived across the road from the mill all her life, provided me photos taken by her husband of the mill being dismantled in 1959.  These photos showed how the interior framework was arranged. Mrs. Frehoffer's kind help in locating the photos is greatly appreciated, for it provided information I thought was forever lost.

Painting of the Red Mill, from across the road by W.F. Kurtz, 1946. Mr. Kurtz was a member of the Pohoqualine Fish Association. Photo courtesy-Pohoqualine Fish Association.

THE END OF THIS MILL'S STORY!
